Involvement: Photographer, Campaign Lead.

In late 2024 as part of the team at New British Design I was responsible for directing and shooting the initial campaign launch of the K tent, a collaboration between sustainable glamping site Kudhva & architecture practice New British Design. The K Tent was born out of the desire for a take away version of the Kudhva cabins, allowing the public to buy into the Kudhva brand.

Photography

I lived in Cornwall for 5 years, in that time I tried to get in the water as much as possible (too many times with my board and not my camera!) I have loved traipsing across the beautiful country searching for waves.

Cantabria -Rhythm

2019

Involvement: Photographer

As media manager at Amigos Surf Camp, Cantabria, I produced all the social, web & Marketing content for the camp for their ‘first’ year. One morning a few of us loaded up a van and headed to a small cove nearby we thought could have a wave. Notoriously a fickle spot we were delighted to see that there was a wave and even more delighted we were the only ones there!

Notoriously a fickle spot we were delighted to see that there was a wave and even more delighted we were the only ones there!

I shot the session from high up on a cliff above the cove. The photos were later picked up and posted by Rhythm Europe.

Autumn 2020

Involvement: Videographer

Fred Horn approached me to create a short vignette for his portfolio website, instead of the traditional written bio we shot the video to include his hobbies and interests, creating an engaging and importantly, different online profile.

PROJECT:

'Do Not Travel Outside Your Local Area For Exercise'

Summer 2020

Involvement: Videographer

In the messiness of lockdown I was blessed enough to be in Cornwall with coastal paths, beaches and the sea on my doorstep. Daily walks turned into coastal rambles. Oh and we built a skate ramp in the living room.

This was my first foray into shooting analogue film and it was a blast. The inbuilt nostalgia to super 8 is something so hard to replicate digitally.

2024-Present

Involvement: Photographer, Campaign Lead.

New British design were asked to design a new cricket pavilion and swimming pool for a local School. The school wanted some striking visuals to secure funding from private donors. I produced these visuals and our pitch document ready to present to the board of governors.

ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
Growing up in Devon I have always enjoyed the outdoors, being a keen surfer I spent a lot of time on the coast. At 15 I saw ‘The dark side of the lens’ by Mickey Smith, saved up, bought my first camera and from there a love affair with image making started. Inspired by the coast, surf, and those of us whom the sea is not just a passion but a way of life. During college I became interested in design, first graphics then later architecture, I went on to study architecture at Falmouth University, receiving a First Class degree and being nominated for a national award, the AJ student prize. Now I am a freelance designer and photographer.
